The PCS Clinical Audit System (CAT) is a clinical information system that supports quality improvement in information management and enhances the business capability of general practice. It is a software tool that operates with the GP Clinical Desktop System (Medical Director, Best Practice, Genie) to present the GP and other practice staff with meaningful clinical information. The tool can filter many different data sets (patient demographics, diabetes, coronary heart disease, cervical screening, Asthma, Mental Health) CAT scrutinises the aggregated patient information of the practice. Further information on maximising the CAT tool  http://www.clinicalaudit.com.au/

The Canning Extraction Tool was developed by Canning Division of General Practice in early 2005. The tool assists practices with systematic care for Diabetics, Coronary Heart Disease, Cervical Screening, Asthma, COPD, Aboriginal Health. Canning Division now produces a range of tools which are capable of extracting data from a variety of the most commonly used GP desktop software (Medical Director 2, Medical Director 3, Best Practice, PractiX, MedTech32 and Medical Spectrum Classic, with more to follow). Over 75 of the 111 Divisions of General Practice in Australia currently have a copy of the Canning Data Extraction Tool. If you are interested in installing the Canning Tool, please contact Andrew Heap on 69233131 or Mandy Reid on 69233113 - this can be organised over the phone.
