E-Health PIP As people are aware the E-Health PIP applications closed on Thursday 30th of April. To apply for the PIP, there are three components that must be addressed.
To qualify for the Secure Messaging Component Practices must be utilizing the product of one of the NEHTA list of approved suppliers. This list can be seen here Most practices will already have obtained the "site" PKI Certificates from Medicare, To qualify for the PIP, practices will be required to have "at least" applied for the Individual certificates for each GP. It should be noted that locums and registrars should apply for an individual PKI as well. The Application form for Site and Individual PKI certificates can be found here. Key Electronic Clinical Resources can be deemed to include the following.Evidence based guidelines (at least 1 site to be provided)
Independent medicines guide /information (at least 1 site to be provided)
Preventive health guides, evidence based (at least 1 site to be provided) + At least 3 of the following: Journals:
Clinical resources:
Regulatory resources:
Practices are encouraged to utilise the online resources including downloading content and making it available on the local computer in the clinic. |
